Apple Salad

1 Doz Jonathan or Red Delicious Apples         1 lb White Seedless Grapes

1 ½ Cups Miniature Marshmallows                  Nuts (Optional)

1 #2 Can Chunked Pineapple, Drained and Juice Reserved

Dressing:

Juice from Pineapple                                      2 Tbsp Flour

3 Eggs                                                                2 Tbsp Butter

1 Cup Sugar                                                     ½ Pt Whipping Cream

Dice apples and sprinkle with lemon juice to keep them from turning brown

Cut grapes into halves

Mix all the fruit and marshmallows

For Dressing:

Boil pineapple juice

Beat eggs slightly

Add sugar and flour which have been mixed

Pour boiling juice into this mixture, stirring constantly

Place on stove and cook thoroughly

Add butter

When cold, add to fruit mixture

Just before serving, stir in the cream, whipped
